The Wood Street Montessori is based in High Barnet and is owned and founded by Mrs Audrey Errichiello.
Audrey completed her Montessori training in December 1988 and has been working as a Montessori Directress for over 25 years. Prior to opening The Wood Street Montessori in September 1999, Audrey worked for a number of years as a Montessori teacher, for five years as a Headteacher. Audrey opened her second nursery, The Four Seasons Montessori in January, 2001 which sadly closed during the Corona virus pandemic of 2020.
As an experienced Montessori practitioner, Audrey’s aim is to provide a stimulating learning environment promoting the Early Years’ Foundation Stage through the Montessori curriculum. A wide range of materials and equipment are provided in the classroom environment. The curriculum is interesting and varied and includes art and craft activities, French lessons, ICT resources, gym, music and drama and more . A wide variety of interesting projects are undertaken and to reflect the cultural diversity of our classrooms we celebrate a number of festivals. Outings to suitable venues take place also.
The nursery is open during term time, following the educational year of three terms, each with a one week, half term break. The dates for the calendar year are issued prior to the start of the autumn term. The dates for the current academic year can be found by following the links herein.
The Wood Street Montessori was graded “Outstanding” in its last four inspections, reports for which can be read following the links within this website.
